Grezzana

Main access road to Lessinia, Grezzana tells its story thanks to important prehistoric or medieval memories, architectural works that date back to Napoleonic periods such as the Forte Santa Viola.

Ancient prehistoric hunters lived here since ancient times, they were descendants of the Homo Erecturs of about 500,000 years ago; this is what Riparo Tagliente tells us, an important archaeological site shows us how these ancient people chose Grezzana as the ideal place to carry out their hunting activities, where they found large quantities of flint and much more.

The historical-architectural heritage also consists of the parish church and other secondary churches, or the mysterious Torre del Falasco, a secret den of minions during the Middle Ages.

Fort Santa Viola, on the other hand, takes us back to the end of the 19th century, when Lessinia was preparing to build its own defensive line in view of the First World War.

.. in short, Grezzana is really full of secrets, which are hidden among its current industrial vocation.
