An itinerary exploring hamlets, woods and paths between the town of Velo Veronese and Roverè Veronese. Starting from Piazzale Crosara in Velo Veronese, where you can easily find car parking, head north following a paved road uphill towards Cappelletta, where an ancient stone chapel gives the village its name. Continue straight on the road, which undulates its way to the hamlet of Gardun, where you can find a family-run cheese shop. At this point, take the main road towards Roverè Veronese for a short while, then descend to Jegher, where there is another shop selling dairy products. Now take the small road on the left, pass through Jegher and continue on a dirt road. You will soon find yourself passing through a wood, where you will find a group of now uninhabited houses identified as the hamlet of Gorgo. Here you can see a votive stone stele typical of Lessinian architecture. Continue along a few uphill stretches of the dirt road in the woods, for about half an hour, until you come to a crossroads. Go uphill across the meadow, heading north, and enter another small wood until you reach Cà Vittoria. From here, follow the road uphill until you reach Cappelletta and return to Piazzale Crosara, your starting point.
