From December 21 to January 6 in the square at Bosco Chiesanuova comes to life “The Fairy Forest”, a Christmas village with typical markets, shows, music, and lots of fun.
The winter season in Lessinia, waiting for snow, comes to life during the Christmas holidays with an unprecedented event in the Verona mountains. The Municipality of Bosco Chiesanuova, in collaboration with the newly established Lessinia Sviluppo s.r.l., has organized “The Fairy Wood”, a Christmas Village, set up in Piazza della Chiesa from December 21 to January 6, which will host typical markets, shows, music, and plenty of fun in a festive and sharing atmosphere that will make Christmas in Lessinia unforgettable.
This project, realized with the support of the Lessinia Natural Park and the contribution of many private sponsors, aims to enhance the excellence of the territory and to make the holiday in Bosco Chiesanuova and the visit to the historic center of the village authentic, as well as to encourage the discovery of the extraordinary natural landscapes that all of Lessinia can offer during the winter.
“We have put our traditions, history, and culture at the center of our initiatives, enhancing the natural landscape that embraces Bosco, its Fractions, and Contrades. It will be a special Christmas, for those who return to visit us and will be surprised by the events and the atmosphere that will be felt, and for those who come to Lessinia for the first time and, I am sure, will fall in love and return to discover it at other times of the year” declared the Mayor of Bosco Chiesanuova, Claudio Melotti.
These 17 consecutive days of Christmas markets will be enriched with a daily program of events including concerts, theatrical performances for both adults and children, various moments of entertainment, and much more. “Designing and implementing an event of this scale for the first time in Lessinia required great commitment from the Municipal Administration and many private businesses that love this territory” comments Paolo Morana Dal Bianco, president of Lessinia Sviluppo. He continues, “promoting Lessinia and developing its tourism potential is the purpose of this new project under the AltaLessinia® brand”.
The inaugural event will be on Saturday, December 21 at 3:00 PM in Piazza della Chiesa, with a slice of artisanal panettone and a warm drink offered for everyone. The afternoon will continue with a theatrical performance by Emanuela Orlandi titled “The Fairy Wood” which will involve children and families in a suggestive storytelling of tales and legends, immersed in the Christmas village set up in the center of the village.

Thanks to this Christmas Village with markets and events, the historic center with its bars, bistros, pizzerias, pastry shops, and shops will be an outdoor commercial space without rivals.
